Story
£25,000 is a lot of money for anyone, but it may take that, and more, to keep hearing alternative, expert medical opinions on social media. My name is Dr Michael McConville. I worked as a GP in Ireland and the UK for over 40 years and never had a single patient complaint. In 2021, the Medical Council of Ireland accused me of misconduct for sharing a different view on public health advice about the COVID pandemic. Much of what I said has since been supported by emerging evidence. I believe the medical regulators in Ireland and the UK changed the rules and violated the law. I need to challenge this in Court, not for myself, but for you. I am retired now and no longer concerned about what regulators think of me, but I care deeply about what information you are allowed to hear. I care deeply about medical freedom and about preventing harm to you and your children. To make your doctor unafraid to speak out, I need to go to court, and the estimated cost of taking the case all the way to judgment is a staggering €100,000. The first steps are to organise the campaign, hire public-interest lawyers, serve hundreds of FOIs and collate them. I am willing to do this; the question is, are you willing to help me? This is not just a matter for Ireland; it is a matter for everyone who wants honest medical advice and open scientific debate.
