Story

In October 2018, I will be spending ten days volunteering in the region of Kaponda in Malawi, which is now unfortunately the world’s poorest country, along with 23 other young people on behalf of the Betty Cunningham International Trust.

The charity has already completed fantastic work in Kaponda, having constructed a health clinic and two pre-schools. However, there are still over 1,300 children in Kaponda who have absolutely nothing. Whilst there, I will be involved in painting classrooms and working in agriculture as well as generally entertaining and, hopefully, enriching the lives of the children who live there.

As part of my fundraising efforts, I will be taking part in the Great Scottish Run 10K on 30th September 2018.

I am incredibly lucky to have been given this opportunity to improve the lives of some of the poorest children in the world and I would be so grateful for any donations towards my trip.

Please have a read of Betty Cunningham’s website at : http://www.bettycunninghaminternationaltrust.co.uk

Many thanks

Michael
