Story
I am hoping to raise funds for the Bluebell Ridge Cat Re-homing Centre in Hastings by running the Hastings Half Marathon with a target time of 1 hour 50 minutes. This charity is personal to me as 3 years ago we brought Zelma home with us after she had been in the cattery for over two years due to her 'fiery' personality. She is now very much a home cat and enjoys a lap to sit on albeit on her own terms!
The centre rescues and re-homes over 200 animals in Hastings and Rother each year and needs to raise an annual amount of £150,000 to keep the cattery open and continue caring for abused, abandoned or mistreated cats. The charity is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings Branch of the RSPCA, but Bluebell Ridge is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing.
Any donation that you give will go towards keeping the charity's work going to rehabilitate the animals in their care before they can find them loving new homes.
