Story
25th February, our son Michael (23) collapsed, and died, on the pitch at Crowland FC, playing football. So many people did so much to help, but Crowland FC had to collect a shared device that was under lock and key.
Michael was a man of fervour and commitment, but with humility and confidence in equal measure, and a friend, coach and mentor to many. His story was reported across the BBC, ITV and national press, and across social media and the tributes are humbling for me (father) and his whole family and community of friends
Michael's loss will be forever felt, and as our hurt fades to scars, his light will shine the brightest in our galaxy of stars. And though we will move forward, we can take solace in our pain, that Michael will never be forgotten, and we will all remember his name.

1 year agoHey friends. It would have been Michael’s 24th Birthday on 2nd June. It will also mark 3 months since Michael died. It has been a challenging and difficult three months but with so much love and support we have changed, and continue make changes so that other families do not see loved ones not given the support needed if the worst happens. Michael’s friends have organised a memorial match and fundraising for a memorial bench and MP99. 1 year agoGood morning supporters, friends, colleagues and family. Had a rewarding and enjoyable meeting with representatives of Lincolnshire FA and their partners BHF on ways forward to support MP99. I will keep you posted on progress. There will be a charity match for MP99 in honor of Michael, on what what would have been his 24th Birthday - 2nd June. I will post details here for anyone wishing to attend. The game will be played by many of his friends, university and work colleagues, as well as players from clubs he represented. WATCH THIS SPACE
