Story

Last year after becoming PVG accredited, I volunteered at a school where all the pupils have severe autism and communication difficulties. It was there I started to realise just how amazing these children were. It was whilst out on a walk with the kids, (I was actually pushing a wheelchair), that I realised not many people really appreciate just what they have and how easy they have it; not to mention how crass (trust me I'm being polite), others can be towards some people, even young children with difficulties.

Honestly it breaks my heart until this day knowing that these angel's are not able to live the way other people live. I honestly would trade places with any of those children in a heartbeat.

I'm cycling from my house in Irvine, to my old house in datchet and back over a 4 week period. Roughly 1000 miles. To raise money for National autism society, Buttleuk and Datchet United charities.

The NAS help people like those in the school I volunteered at, and people like my step-son, who has minor communication difficulties.

Datchet United charities helped my family when I was younger, normally around Christmas, I know first-hand just what that meant to my mum.

Buttle Uk are an organisation that, in 1953 wanted to create an endowment to launch 1000 children every year out if poverty. Last year they helped over 13,000 under-privalaged children.

Please try to sponsor me 2p per mile. This will then guarantee £20 per sponsor. If this is too much for you then ANY donation will help three worthy causes.

If I just do it myself though I know it'd be too easy to give up. Having the expectation and funding for 3 worthy causes means I won't.

I mean how could I ever look those children, or my mum in the eye again? Or myself in the mirror again? Those children really did bring so much joy and humility to me at that school that I'd rather die trying to get there and back than turn back!

Over 1000 miles, just me, trying to help others, please help. NO TURNING BACK
