Capt Ruchin Dayal has chosen to support the Sailors' Society during his IIMS presidency from June 2024 to June 2026.

Sailors' Society is a global maritime welfare charity supporting seafarers and their families in need, day and night 365 days a year.

Their international team of chaplains are always at the end of the phone or chat message to give comfort or provide crisis response and emergency grants - a complete support system - miles out at sea or alone in a faraway port.

Sailors' Society care covers seafarers from their first days in training or at sea and includes their award-winning wellness training, which has been running for more than 10 years, their Sea Ready pre-departure training, helpline, trained Crisis Response Network, Ship Connect programme and hugely successful Peer-to-Peer support groups.

Remarkably, Sailors' Society was established in 1818, more than 200 years.
