I've raised £17500 to help Chris with the cost of his house renovation works

Motor neurone disease (MND) is one of the cruellest diseases anyone can begin to imagine.
The disease is relentless and gives little respite to those who suffer from it or their families. It is a rapidly progressive illness in its onslaught on the body's motor neurons, causing muscles to waste resulting in huge mobility issues.
We are raising money for our friend and colleague Chris Thurston who was afflicted with this disease three years ago.
Despite the challenges of his illness Chris has confronted his difficulties with humour, positiveness and bravery that is hugely humbling and fills us with admiration.
However,Chris has now got to the stage where he needs to undertake building works to his house to convert his garage into a wet room and living area.Unfortunately, no grants or government assistance are available to help with the cost of these essential works.
We are hoping that you can help by donating towards the cost of these works.?
In return for your support Chris' colleague Mike Smith will be completing the Pennine Way in 10 days--this is 270 miles with 38,000 ft of ascent carrying all of his gear throughout.Colleagues of Chris' will be joining Mike on various stages of the trek--so this is a team effort from his friends who really want to help Chris out.
We hope that the changes to Chris' house will make it much easier for him to navigate , improving both his and his family’s quality of life immensely.
