My dad as many of you know is in the advanced stages of Parkinson Disease. He is in full time nursing care and has been asked if he would grow a beard so he can be Father Christmas in the home and in the process has decided to also raise money for his beard grow for Parkinsons research. I have decided to do the same (not to be Father Christmas though). I started growing a beard about 6 weeks ago and have now made the decision to keep it until Christmas. Parkinson Disease has been a big part of my life now for several years and the challenges get more difficult as the disease progresses. Anything I can do to help with the research gives me great joy. I have raised money before for this cause, I also feel if you can cure Parkinsons, you are there too with the likes of Dementia and Alziemers too as they all target the brains ability to make the person who they are, just in a different order. Dementia comes later in Parkinsons, Many Dementia patients also end up with Parkinsons. Lets fight these Desieses together, Thank you for your donations no matter how big or small.
