with the recent temporary closure of our beloved regent cinema and the ever increasing threat of a multiplex cinema being built iv decided to set this page up to try raise funds to improve everyones cinema experience at the regent.for those who use it we can see the old lady needs a bit of tlc to help aid and secure its future the toilets need doing and the rest of the old seats need replacing with those lovely new seats aswell as all the back rooms behind the scenes need much needed tlc also.but this doesnt come cheap.there is a donation box at the cinema but with the regent being closed no money is able to be collected. redcar has a population of approximately 40000 with the redcar and cleveland borough population approximately 110000 so id like to set a target of £50,000 to help raise funds for neil to continue his hard work in providing a cost friendly family cinema that can live on for a few more generations to come yet .the target is high but if everyone feels so strong and wants the regent to continue all it would take is every person in the borough to donate just £1.00 and we would smash the total by a mile.
