Story
Michael Watson MBE is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1991. He held the Commonwealth middleweight title from 1989 to 1991, and challenged three times for a world title between 1990 and 1991. Watson's career was cut short as a result of a near-fatal injury sustained during a loss to Chris Eubank for the WBO super-middleweight title in 1991.
For the last 30 years Michael has unfortunately had to receive constant medical care due to the severity of his injuries sustained and has recently come to the point where he is unfortunately running out of previous funds he received which would mean his much needed care and attention could well diminish due to the lack of any further funding from the British Boxing Board of Control and Government.
The Club KO team have decided to set up a funding page in order to try and raise as much money as possible from the general public in order to provide the funds that Michael so desperately needs to continue living a safe and cared for life that he deserves.
We urge you to dig deep and donate what ever you can to help this national treasure live the life that befits the warrior he was in the ring and more importantly out of it.
Thank you so much in advance from Michael Watson.
