Story
Freezing, isolated, terrified. Not three things we like to experience. However, for many girls in Nepal, these are three things they are exposed to far too often. Every month many girls are forced to live in 'Menstruation huts' for several days at a time as they are regarded as impure and untouchable all because of the chaupadi tradition.
Do you think this is safe?
We don't. This is why I am joining a North West Girlguiding trip to Nepal in Summer 2018 to work with the charity 'Classrooms in the clouds' to try and help break the taboo surrounding menstruation so that girls will no longer have to worry about freezing to death in Menstruation huts.
In order to take part in this opportunity, I need to raise around £2,500 to pay for the trip, vaccines and equipment. Please give what you can; any donations will be greatly appreciated.
