Story

1 in every 2 people in the U.K will get diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime but its still a massive shock when you or someone you love gets diagnosed as even with statistics like that you never imagine it would effect you directly.
Recently our dad has been diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer and will soon be starting his battle against it with not only all our family and friends behind him but amazing nurses and doctors. So in honor of the nurses/doctors/carers etc that will help us all through and in the hope of making a dent in donations towards the charities that support cancer patients we want to raise some money to help them and also raise awareness of the different cancer types.
Grant, Paige, Dylan, Michael, Carla, Laura and myself will be doing a 10k Shine walk in Glasgow on the 18th of August to raise as much money as possible with half going to Cancer Research and the other half going to The Beatson Centre. There are so many organisations out there that help cancer patients and their families so this will be the first of many events for us to raise money for.
Any amount would be absolutely amazing and help out two outstanding charities!!!"
