Story
Help For Aaron.
2 days after his 22nd Birthday Aaron had an accident in which he broke his neck and suffered extreme spinal cord damage. This unfortunately means that because of the injury Aaron is now paralysed from the neck down so has lost the use of his arms and legs. Through the extraordinary work of the Plymouth hospital ITU team, coupled with his own self determination a transfer to his local hospital was possible, where he now waits for a Transfer to a Spinal injury unit. This fundraiser is being set up because the road ahead for Aaron is long, tough and unfortunately expensive .The money raised though this website will go towards Aarons future and making his life as comfortable and as normal as possible, helping fund equipment, resources and care. He has the determination but needs your support.
Thank you.

6 years agoA long overdue update. The past few months have been rather difficult. Aaron developed an infection which despite intensive antibiotic treatment failed to resolve itself. It is centred around the metalwork supporting his neck and an operation is now required to replace some/all of the metalwork with bone and tissue from his hip. 10 hr op on 19 July planned with return to intensive care afterwards. Aaron remains determined and positive nonetheless but his chess skills have dropped as sitting up has been more challenging. Opportunity for dad!
