A long overdue update. The past few months have been rather difficult. Aaron developed an infection which despite intensive antibiotic treatment failed to resolve itself. It is centred around the metalwork supporting his neck and an operation is now required to replace some/all of the metalwork with bone and tissue from his hip. 10 hr op on 19 July planned with return to intensive care afterwards. Aaron remains determined and positive nonetheless but his chess skills have dropped as sitting up has been more challenging. Opportunity for dad!
