The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
During the past years, you all have been cheering me up and supporting all my (crazy) triathlon races 🏊🏻♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
Most recently, you followed my journey at Challenge Roth in Germany, where I was lucky enough to win a spot in one of the largest triathlon races in the World. Challenge Roth has always been on my bucket list race, and it is considered for world famous pro-triathletes as the Mecca of triathlon. The race is been held since 1984 and since then, every year, around 4k athletes participate and almost 7k people volunteer to make that big event possible.
For those who are not familiar with triathlon preparation, all planning for the the following year starts just after our main race. Challenge Roth 2019 registrations opened last Monday and it already got sold out in less than one minute. At this time, I was not successful with my application but for my surprise, two hours later, I got an email from the race organisers offering me a spot, due to duplicated applications and wow! these things does not happen by twice or by chance 🙌🏻
If you are a friend close to my heart, you’ve been also sharing with me some “not very happy” moments. One of those, was a traumatic end of relationship, that left both emotional and financial scars, and most recently, just after that, the lost of my dad. It was a hard year but as most of you say: I am an Iron-woman, therefore I am harder!
Triathlon has been part of my life since 2010, and since then I am dedicating half of my daily routine for training and race preparation. I can certainly tell that triathlon has been helping me to cope with both sad events, including overcome depression. Endurance sport in general, has the power to grow in us resilience, determination, hope, courage, boldness, and man! that is powerful.
I would love to race at Roth again, but to make it happen, I will count with your contribution. I will be then racing in Challenge Roth 2019 in the memory of my dad, setting a goal of pursue a new personal best, and perhaps take my triathlon amateur career to the next level.
I have now 10 days deadline to raise the funds that will all go through my registration costs. So if you accept the Challenge, you will be contributing to make your triathlete friend go further!
Massive thanks to you all 🙏🏻 x
