This evening whilst my 6 year old daughter and I were walking my dogs (Bella and Harlie) on the lead by the river across the road from our house a black/white staffie that was off the lead attacked my Yorkshire terrier (Bella).

The owner ran over and continuously punched their staffie dog in the head trying to get it to let go of Bella, however, this made their dog more aggressive and the dog continued a lengthy aggressive attack on Bella.

The man and woman who owned the dog ran off, i pleaded with them not to leave me as I had my daughter and needed help however they ran off.

Tonight Bella is in intensive care, her breathing is ranging from being rapid to slowing right down, she is needing surgery on puncture wounds to her throat, neck, back and her back legs and I am waiting to hear if her internal organs have been damaged.

The vet bill at present is £2000. I am absolutely distraught, I am a single parent I do not have any way of paying this bill
