A group of Staff, Volunteers, local Councillors, local people & Supporters are walking/climbing up scarfell pike on 1st October to raise enough money to take the Young People who attend our Senior Club to Poland, during this trip they will visit the Auschwitz site where they will learn about the history of what happened during World War II and put into perspective the enormity of the number of victims that were cruely imprisoned and murdered showing them the reality of the biggest atrocity in European history. We have been doing a project at Gems about this and the Young People will have knowledge and will have seen a play here in liverpool before hand. As well as this being an educational vist, it will allow the Young People of Croxteth to experience a trip, including airplane, hotel & another country which without this they may never experience.
