    Story

On the 12th of July my best friends mum took critically ill whilst on holiday with her partner and 14 year old son. Leta McCaw was feeling fine until she suddenly took pains in the side of her head and collapsed! She was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and has been in intensive care since that. All the family know is that a blood clot on her brain had burst meaning she had to go through surgery to realise some of the pressure. Leta is heavily sedated and has been from this happened needing the use of breathing tubes to help her breath. She has since picked up a chest infection and trying to fight through that aswell. The doctors have no straight answers on how leta will recover from this and the family are in comolete limbo! As you can imagine her daughter Sarah son William, partner nicola and the rest of the family are distraught. My heart is broke for My best friend and the family as a whole. I just keep thinking all on top of it all they have to worry about how they are going to afford to keep coming back and forward to Benidorm and how they are going to live while they are there. Anyone that's had to deal with insurance companies will know how absolutely useless they are and there is no guarantee that Sarah and her family will even get any help from them. I feel useless that i cant help my friend and this is the only thing i can think of that would make a small bit of difference in easing some of the strain for them all. This could even mean money towards an air ambulance back home to Belfast if it comes to that!!!!
Any help big or small would mean the absolute world to the family.
    Thankyou so much, Michelle xxxxx
