Rebecca is my partner's sister. She has bravely fought breast cancer for three years She was treated with chemotherapy here in the UK for several months and was deemed cancer free a couple of years ago. Last year they found the cancer had returned. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and it had spread through her body. No further treatment offered in the U.K.

After the family researched alternatives they found the Hallwang Clinic in Germany. This clinic is groundbreaking in its treatments for cancer and the majority of stage 4 patients that are admitted there having been offered no treatment elsewhere walk out of the clinic in full remission. They specialise in immunotherapy as well as many other treatments and use of drugs not offered by the NHS at present.

Without the treatment Rebecca has received at the Hallwang so far she would not be alive. She had a large tumour pressing against her windpipe and obstructing her breathing so she couldn't lie down to enable scans to reveal the extent of the cancer and the treatment required. The first round of treatment, funded by the family reduced this tumour tremendously. Full scans have since been possible. Very sadly this revealed that Rebecca's fight is going to be greater than they thought. The cancer has spread to her brain.

The doctors know they can treat her and are hopeful of full remission but the family now need as much support to fund this treatment as possible having exhausted their savings.

Rebecca has two young boys 6 & 10. She -struggles with being away from them but knows it is the only way she will have a chance to be there for them as they grow up. It is a very hard and unfair situation. We need her home with the boys asap.

I will be running with my partner (Rebecca'a brother) and my 2 girls Josie and Maddie in a Santas on the Run fun run to raise funds towards her treatment. Any small sponsorship for our efforts is hugely appreciated.
