I've raised £1000 to Raising money in memory of Matthew Davidson

I am deeply and utterly heartbroken to say my beautiful darling Husband Matt passed away recently after a short battle with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Matt fought so hard like the warrior he always was to stay with me and his beautiful family. He never gave up fighting from the start of his illness until moments before his last few breaths.
Burkitt’s is a rare but extremely aggressive cancer and Matt really suffered during this time with so many admissions to hospital and months of treatment as an inpatient. Having precious time together was difficult due to Covid restrictions, but we made wonderful memories with the quality time we had together.
For people asking both Matt and myself had already discussed for there to be donations to be split between the Salford Royal Haematology Ward and creating a charity in Matt’s memory into research and providing support for other families affected with Burkitt’s lymphoma.
Salford Haematology Ward cared endlessly for Matt during his months of Chemotherapy, they became part of our family during this time. Through our boys and fanily the charity will be a legacy to Matt in which they can find a positive from such a difficult situation. This will create a purpose and focus in their lives and something their dad would be very proud of.
Throughout Matt’s battle he had many transfusions. On behalf of Matt I would like to say a huge thank you to anyone who donates blood regularly. Matt has been very vocal about the importance of giving blood and asked if anything to encourage other people to donate.
I would like to say a huge thankyou for all your messages of love and support, beautiful cards and endless amounts of flowers.
Matt was not only my husband he was my bestfriend my rock my soulmate he made me laugh everyday, our love was so incredibly strong true love ❤️ He was the best most amazing father to our boys and girls, grandfather, son, brother, friend and everyone else in his life
Matt will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was a true gentleman, kind, caring and always gave the best advice when needed. He was able to cheer anyone up with his witty jokes, infectious laugh, beautiful smile and big bear hugs. We all love him so so much. He will be in our heart always ❤️❤️❤️
