I've raised £250 to rescue and rehome greyhounds and lurchers

This year, we will be taking on two big challenges and hope to raise funds for an amazing charity, the Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary (SGS), in the process. Chris will be doing the Ben Nevis Braveheart, which consists of a 1.2 mile sea swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run to the summit of Ben Nevis (the highest peak in the UK!) and back. Michelle will be running the Glencoe Marathon; a full distance trail marathon through the heart of Glencoe and into the foothills of Ben Nevis.
The Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary is a charity devoted to rescuing and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers in need, and it is run entirely by volunteers. All funds raised for them go directly towards food, medical fees and boarding of dogs under their care. SGS is also passionate about the welfare of greyhounds and lurchers and is committed to raising awareness of the plight of these incredible dogs. If you would like more information about SGS, please visit their website here, and if you are looking to adopt a dog, please consider rehoming a greyhound or lurcher.
Last year, we adopted a 10 month old lurcher from the SGS, and life has not been the same since then. Our crazy little Rocket had a tough first 10 months, but, with a lot of patience and puppy training, she has become the most incredible dog. She makes each and every day a little brighter, and we simply couldn't imagine life without her. The thought that so many other dogs just like her might not get the opportunity to be in a happy and loving home is heartbreaking. We would like to raise as much money as we can to help the SGS find forever homes for retired and unwanted racing greyhounds and lurchers, and we need your help to do so!
Absolutely any amount you can spare will help this great little charity to care for these incredible dogs.
