Rod loved music and theatre, his eclectic range of music being vast and was always welcomed onto quiz teams for his musical knowledge contribution.

He would love to play guitar and sing at parties with Michelle and became involved with the local Middleton Popstars 'Bo-Jangles Theatre', appearing as narrator in performances such as 'Oliver' and 'Rocky Horror Show'.

Middleton Popstars Academy is a non profit community group, open to all no matter of ability or disability. Their little 'Bo-Jangles Theatre' was built in memory of a young student Jack McLean who passed away at 18, his signature song was Mr Bojangles. The theatre benefits massively from donations, which help to improve the theatre for all the community to enjoy.
