I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for myeloma, a type of blood cancer, at the Royal Derby Hospital. During my recent treatment appointments, I have noticed that the reclining chairs are often out of order, forcing patients to sit in standard hardback chairs. For those receiving chemotherapy, these long sessions can be physically uncomfortable and emotionally challenging.

Specialist chemotherapy chairs are designed to make these lengthy treatments more bearable; however, they are not always available. I understand how crucial it is to be comfortable and relaxed during treatment, as this can significantly ease the burden of such a difficult experience.

My goal is to raise as much money to help provide chairs that help make people feel more comfortable whilst under going chemotherapy, like myself. During 2026 I will be doing a series of fund raising activities to hopefully make this happen. Your generosity and kind support would be most appreciated
