Story
I have decided to finally get off my behind and have built up the courage to take part in this years Thriller In The Villa, which I will try and raise as much as I possibly can for such amazing causes as the Selina Hunter Memorial Fund, Rebecca House and Hospice Isle of Man.
One of the main reasons I am taking part this year is because sadly my friend, Selina Hunter, passed away late last year from epilepsy and her family have set up a memorial fund in order to raise money to help provide resident specialist epilepsy services on the island.
Selina Hunter had been my friend since primary school and I'm not going to mention how long ago that was. It was a privilege to have had Selina as a friend through out my school years, trying to keep me out of trouble with teachers, and I think many will know that was a hefty task. Even after school friends grow apart it was wonderful to know that whenever I bumped into Selina around the island, she'd greet me with a smile and welcoming hug, while chatting and asking about family and life. Selina had been graced with a beautiful soul as many will know and will never be forgotten by the people who's lives she'd touched.
So I ask you to help me raise money for this one in a million friend and the two other wonderful charities, Rebecca House and Hospice Isle of Man that I will be fighting for this October in the Upcoming Thriller in the Villa.
Thank you,
Michelle McGovern
