Groovy Gecko is a night club run on the first Tuesday of every month by Inter-Action MK for adults with disabilities. This is held at The Slug & Lettuce in Milton Keynes who kindly let us use the facilities for free.There is a DJ playing great music for everyone to have a good boogie to and it is a great place to make new friends, it is a night that the clients look forward to every month,they do different themes every month and the clients like to dress up to match the themes.

As alot of you already know I have been volunteering for this event every month for a few years now and it is very close to my heart. I would like to raise some money to help the running of Groovy Gecko and to be able to decorate the venue to match the theme of the month as sometimes we are limited to what we can do.

Myself and my daughter Chloe have signed up to do the 5K on March 11th next year in the MK Festival of Running. 5K may not sound alot to many people but for me it is a huge challenge, I was born with one leg alot shorter than the other and had to have numerous operations to rectify this and although they are alot better I still have problems just walking so running is a challenge ha! Neither myself or Chloe have done any sort of running but we are up for the challenge, any encouragement will be greatly received
