Story

Run for the Toilet

The Mustard Seed Project ( Uganda) Reg charity 7511402, along with our amazing local community, have built a school on a swamp island In Uganda.

The island was only discovered five years ago. Before the school was built children were educated under mango trees and drank the dirty water from the swamp. Now they have a school to be proud of, food each day, and three huge water harvesters.

There is just one, big problem.... there is only one toilet for over 300 children. This means that girls drop out of school because they fear abuse when visiting the bush to toilet. They can not cope with the lack of privacy. If they are no longer in school once they reach puberty they are sold as brides. To find out more visit www.mustardseeduganda.com
