Story
I'm taking part in the inaugural Le Rossignol Estates Charity White Collar Surfing Competition to raise money for the charities, Healing Waves and Peas & Glove.
I’m a 42 year old advocate with Le Gallais & Luce and the beach is my happy place. I can often be found in the vicinity of the Watersplash, (trying) to help with Jersey Surfboard Club events and activities or hunting for whatever my wee boy has left lying around that day by way of surf and skateboards, wetsuits or random items of clothing.
I’ve tried to surf for many years with very little success but I’m also terrified of the sea, which probably doesn’t help. When I do venture in with a board, the result is both comical and likely infuriating for everyone in the line-up.
Le Gallais & Luce is sponsoring my entry to this event and the firm is proud to support the fabulous charities, Peas & Glove and Healing Waves, by doing so.
The lessons and competition preparation will be challenging for me on a number of levels, as well as the instructors (apologies in advance) but if my taking part in this event helps both charities in some small way, then it will all be worthwhile.
