Story
As many of you may already know Alan and I ran the Plymouth 10km in October to raise money for Seren and Jack. Both children have been diagnosed with a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) which makes almost every day a struggle for them and their Mum Hayley. To add to that their older sister Jasmine (who is 13) was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 last year and its been a very difficult time for her too.
We would like to continue our fundraising efforts for Hayley and her family and their ongoing medical needs by running this years Plymouth Half Marathon but would also like to extend the fundraising effort to include Jazmine.
Finding out at 12 years of age you have Diabetes Type 1 is life changing. Jazmine's blood sugar levels are hard to control and as a consequence her life has been turned upside down.
Our fundraising effort this time is called 'The Power of the Pound'. All we are asking is if you can spare £1 for our cause as know many of you will have already pledged your money to a cause close to your heart. If every one of our Facebook friends donated just £1 we would raise a considerable amount of money. It is very easy to waste £1 but each £1 is invaluable and not to be underestimated.
Thank you for reading about our cause, please give us a wave and a cheer on Sunday if you are watching - we will definitely need it!!!!!
All our love
Alan and Michelle xxx
