My name is Michelle Sholto-Douglas, I am 24 years old and my dream is to become a Nurse. I've always loved caring for those around me and still do so to this day, I am a carer for a lovely lady who suffers from multiple sclerosis as well as being a part time nanny.

my job, it is the most rewarding challenging profession I have ever been in and I am loving every minute of it. however I would like to move forward and up the education ladder so that in future I can help many more others with the same condition and hopefully enable them to live the best lives they can, and I feel that with my current level of eduction I am unqualified to do so. attached underneath is a copy of the testimonial I asked my employer to write when I was applying for university. Michelle has looked after me now for over a year. I have MS, am in wheel chair and need 24 hour attention. During that time she has never been a minute late, usually early in fact, and she has not taken any time off through illness. She is totally dependable and responsible, calm and decisive in emergencies. Her care for me is most professional at the same time as being extremely respectful and sympathetic. Her dedication is unquestionable, for example she stayed with me during a recent unexpected visit to hospital for five days, nights included. I could not ask for better care and attention, nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile.

She enters in enthusiastically with all aspects of my life and takes on all sorts of jobs and interests that I can no longer do. Anything from dogs, ducks, horses, walking with me round the farm and gardening. Even repairing a Cotswold stone wall! She is an excellent driver which has made it possible to visit family and friends all over the country. She is also an excellent cook and looks forward to preparing for parties and any friend who should visit.

I could not recommend her highly enough, even though I would be most upset should she leave here! All in all, she is an exceptional young lady who would be an asset in any situation.
