On the 30th of September 2015, Sham's battle with cancer began. I describe her cancer as a battle because she is a warrior, a gladiator, an Amazon, fighting her disease from the front line.

Her battle began when she was told she most probably would not survive surgery. She won that fight in two hours.

Immediately after surgery, her Oncologist informed her she only had 6 months to live. Striking her off - yet she fought.

So a trip to Harley street led to her being admitted to one of the best cancer hospitals in London and in December 2015 she began aggressive chemotherapy for 6 months. Sham's body fought the poison that was pumped into her and by June 2016 she was back in school teaching.

She looked after my class whilst I was not in school, and my pupils told me she was the best teacher they have ever had. This is fact. Can be proven statistically.

In May 2017, after persevering with work for 4 weeks, a scan revealed that her cancer had spread to the lining of her brain and part of her spine. We all questioned how this went unnoticed. But it was because she had exceeded expectations and lived longer than any other person with stage 4 stomach cancer. She is unique. One of a kind. And a beautiful person that fully deserves support with a treatment that will give her life and vitality.
