We are going out with the scout association to build dormitories for children at the Kerry West Orphanage.

The Orphanage currently supports over 100 children in the Lake Bunyonyi area. Many are orphaned due to Aids and others are under the care of the orphanage because their parents cannot afford to look after them.

​There are over 65 children now boarding at the orphanage with several others attending the school on a daily basis.

Currently all boarding children are in the same tiny room with 4 bunkbeds to share between them. We are going to build new separate dormitories and some new beds. We also intend to supply mattresses and bedding to go on these beds.

We are going to build a bathroom with a shower as the children currently have only a bucket outside to wash in.

Finally we hope to build a kitchen.

We are also raising money for toothbrushes, toothpaste, face cloths, shoes, clothes, toys and also to provide the school at the orphanage with textbooks and school equipment.
