Mickey Wardlaw shaving her head to raise funds for her to volunteer at the World Scout Jamboree next year and donate her repunzel length hair to the little princess trust.

The World Scout Jamboree is an incredible event where 30000 Scouts from 150 different countries gather in one place to give individuals (young and old) life changing memories and development through outdoor activitie and education. The UK are providing the second largest number of international support staff to the event and each of them have to pay £1500 to work the two weeks to enable Scouts from less affluent countries to make the journey. The cost for UK participants is close to £4000 for the same reason.

Mickey's attachment to her hair is a lot further than the roots. She has always said that it is her best feature and her biggest fear is loosing it. I'm amazed she has even come up with the idea. See the photos on Facebook if you have any doubts.

Mickey is now having her hair shaved to a number one on Wednesday at Norjam - no going back now!! Her plats will be donated to the little princess trust.
