Christopher was widely known and very fondly received by anyone fortunate enough to meet him. He was truly one of life’s gentlemen, and has left behind a legacy of wonderful stories and memories.

We are organising a day in Christopher’s memory on Saturday 29th September starting with a walk in the Mournes and ending with a Country Themed Lip Sync Night and music in Rostrevor GAA Clubrooms. The walk, with route yet to be finalised, will begin at 9am and is £10 to enter. We are expecting a huge turnout so please arrive early to allow for registration. The second part of the day starts at 8pm in Rostrevor GAA Clubrooms with several acts taking part in an American Country themed Lip Sync with a disco afterwards. Entry fee on the night is also £10. There will also be a raffle and an auction on the night.

Proceeds of both day and night will be going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, with donations being made out to both Cruise Bereavement and Southern Area Hospice. The KBRT were paramount in making such a complex and tragic situation that little bit easier for the family by co-ordinating the repatriation of Christopher. We take some comfort in knowing that the money we raise through our day and night will be used to help alleviate financial and logistical worries for future families that find themselves in situations like ours.

We also hope for this to be a great day and night to remember Christopher, and a night that would make “The Chief” himself proud.
