Story

Hey all, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and other disabilities. I'm an acitve wheelchair user, but my current chair is falling apart and beyond repair now. NHS Wheelchair Services (WCS) can only provide a chair that is too heavy for my joints and causes disclocations and pain. So I'm taking the NHS Voucher instead and topping it up to buy a wheelchair that is truly suitable for my disabilities (a Kuschall K Series).

Unfortunately, the voucher only covers a portion of the actual cost for that type of chair. It's for £1462.50. I need approximately £2250 for the K Series, leaving me with a shortfall of about £800. I've been saving, raising money from my craft sales, and from craft auctions too and so far I've raised and saved £350 with the help of my loved ones. However, much as I hate to say it - I need your help please, I need to raise the remaining £450. (I'll edit this total as donations from elsewhere and craft sale totals are added to the fund.)

Asking is the last thing I want to do, I know nobody has lots to spare - but every penny counts and I've been told bluntly that my loved ones want to help and I'm to set up crowdfunding and accept the help offered. So here we are - my crowdfunding page to help me buy the wheelchair I need and I am more grateful than I have the words to say - thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Mic xxx
