Story

Slow cookers use very little power but allow cheaper cuts of meat to be made into delicious nutritious meals. In fact, they can be used for a whole variety of foods and make a very healthy option for people in fuel poverty. Much better than super noodles and a kettle! We intend to donate them to CHAT Tiverton foodbank and they will send them out with recipes to help the recipients make warming nutritious meals and stay well through the colder months of late winter and early spring and beyond.
We will pass these onto Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) who know the people that would benefit the most - be they young people leaving care, families without cooking facilities, people who have to choose between cooking and heating - and many others who are in need through job losses and facing the ending of furlough.
Please donate as much as you can - and please contact me if you have any questions. A big thank you in advance on behalf of all of those who will benefit from this fundraising.
