Story
As many of you know we had to move earlier this year due to HS2 coming through our farm. We found the perfect farm and moved in July. However our new farm doesn’t have any under cover facilities for our visitors. There’s an open barn on site that can easily be used as a cosy warm space for our younger, older and less able visitors, who would appreciate a shelter to enjoy the animals from on days when the weather isn't kind!
As many of you know our farm takes in lots of rescue animals and gives them a home for life including donkeys, ponies, sheep, chickens and ducks to name but a few. This obviously costs a lot financially and we have never fundraised to support them.
We work with a lot of people with additional needs providing ‘animal therapy’ to many, but when its cold and wet the lack of undercover facilities for people to eat their picnic or drink a hot cup of tea in, is an issue we would really like to address.
We’d like to put some new sides and a floor on this existing barn. We’ll do all the work ourselves we just need some funding for the materials. Our animals winter hay will still be kept dry in this lovely barn, but so will our visitors! If you can help, every penny will make a big difference, and we would be so grateful! Any extra funds received above our target will be used on improving the facilities for all that visit the farm. Thank you so much for reading.
