Welcome to Middleway Words, the book festival for the Midlands.

Launched in 2021 to put readers back in touch with many of the great writers in the region, the free five-day online festival proved a perfect remedy to lockdown-hit times – and it will be back again in 2022.

The second Middleway Words will run from November 6-13 and will feature live events alongside a strong online presence. It will cover writing across an even broader range of genres, as well as more insights into many other aspects of the book business.

All of us organising the event are authors and we volunteer our time to bring this event to the readers. We have no funding and rely on generous in-kind sponsorship from local companies and donations via this website.
