I’ve spent the past week trying to find local charities to support flood relief in Sri Lanka. While national efforts are underway, some of the hardest‑hit communities - like my family’s hometown Mullaitivu, north Sri Lanka - aren’t always reached or highlighted. If you know of any verified, trusted charities working in this region, please let me know.

My grandparents are on the ground. I asked my Ammappa (Grandad) to check what’s happening locally - he’s seen the need firsthand, especially for food, and connected me with a local councillor who is reaching out to shelters where families displaced by the floods are staying.

Food and supplies will be sourced locally wherever possible, so donations not only provide immediate relief but also strengthen the community itself.

Working in social impact, I know the importance of transparency - I’ll be sharing receipts, photos and updates so you can see exactly where your support goes.
