    Story

    The monies raised will be helping Midland Freewheelers continue to support people in their time of need.

    The team consists of employees from the team at HomeServe and members of the Midland Freewheelers. They will be riding from Coast to Coast starting in Skegness down to Barmouth clocking up over 270 miles in one day!

    The team of 15 will share their love of bikes to come together to raise £5,000 for the Blood Bikes ensuring their fantastic work can continue.

    What do you know about Midland Freewheelers?

    Midland Freewheelers provide a FREE EMERGENCY out of hours blood and medical essentials delivery service to NHS facilities 24 hours a day at weekends and during public holidays in addition to carrying breast milk to sick and at risk premature babies.

    The demand for service continues to grow both locally and Nationally and with your help and donations, we aim to ensure we are able to continue providing this valuable role FREE OF CHARGE to the NHS.

    Services the Midland Freewheelers offer

    Midland Freewheelers can provide NHS, private healthcare providers, Air Ambulance services or other Emergency Service providers with a dedicated and professional emergency delivery service tailored specifically to suit your needs.

    We will carry anything of a medical nature size permitting including blood, human tissue, samples, X rays, patient notes, in general a wide range of items. We consider all deliveries to be URGENT and deliver them as soon as a bike becomes free.

    All of our riders are fully qualified advanced riders accredited through either the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) or the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
