Hi my name is Mike and I'm 50 years old. I have suffered with chronic depression and anxiety disorder for 25 years but the past 3-4 years have been the worst I have ever experienced. In 2015 things got so dark for me that I tried to end my life, thankfully I didn't succeed as my two children would have lost their dad. Since then I tried to return to work but this didn't work out and in August 2017 I had to give up working in a job I really enjoyed, for a company I had been with for over 20 years.

I have, along with my G.P., for the past 18 months been desperately trying to get some professional help through the NHS. Unfortunately this hasn't happened and there is no chance of me seeing anyone in the near future.

I am looking for your help to raise money so that I can see a psychologist privately and start to get my life back to some sort of normality (whatever normal is). £1,350 will get me 10 one to one sessions with a private psychologist which will go a long way to improving my mental health.
