I've raised £1000 to In Memory of Andy Holland - A True Scot, With A Passion For Excellence

So many of us worked closely with Andy over the years through his role in UK, European and then Australia/APAC Support RDBMS BDE at Oracle.
Andy was part of the old 'brigade' of the UK Support Kernel Team, or what was referred to in Bracknell as the 'The God Squad'.
This Team went on to become the foundation for Global BDE, and Andy was a mainstay of this Team as a exceptional technical provider, and a great sharer of knowledge to anyone who needed help, and would invariably share his insight and wisdom with a good dose of his dry Scottish wit.
He was never happier than when discussing the intimacies of some odd block, ORA-600 or corruption, and how dopey a particular Customer was, or as he would refer to them as, 'A Complete Numpty'.
The conversations would often then turn to one of his other great passions, Rugby, Encyclopedic Movie knowledge, name that British TV Advert of the 1980's, or the World According to Terry Pratchett.
He was a great colleague and defines the term 'all-round good bloke',and he will be sorely missed.
