Slim was never a well funded driver and to achieve what he did in getting to F1 when he was already 34years old showed great determination, after F1 he was European truck racing Champion in 86 and 87, but this did not earn a great deal of money. In the last decade he has had his own preparation company running Radicals and Historic F3 with plenty of success, now due to this terrible disease he is not able to do anything and like many people in the lower echelones of Motorsport he has no savings to fall back on.

So we are trying to raise money to help both him and his partner now carer live until the disease takes its final toll.
