The AFC Wimbledon family has lost one of its own.

Our friend and much-loved commentator, Mikey T, tragically passed away suddenly at just 56.

Mikey’s dedication to Wimbledon was extraordinary: almost 40 years and more than 2,000 consecutive matches without missing a game. Through the highs and lows, his passion, loyalty and unmistakable voice made him a cherished and irreplaceable part of our club.

We’re coming together to give something back to a man who gave so much.

We hope to raise £20,000 to help Mikey’s family cover the funeral costs and ease the financial burden on them at this incredibly difficult time.

This will also cover significant catering costs associated with what is likely to be a sizeable wake for a man loved by many and allow the family to open this up to large numbers of Wimbledon fans wishing to pay their respects.

If we exceed our target, any additional funds will be passed to the family. This will be used either as a charitable donation in his name or an alternative memorial to Mikey.

Mikey never missed a match. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
