Story
As this week is mental health awareness week (18-24 May) we are going to get moving with the aim to complete as many miles as we can by the end of the week. Through doing this we hope to raise money for a Plymouth based mental health charity, Arterne CIC which provides support for people across the city who are struggling with their Mental Health.
Arterne CIC offers mental health assessment and support for individuals and families across all age ranges. Key projects include:
1, 'Platform 50: Coaching and Mentoring for women aged 16-25' which is a trauma based service for young women.
2, 'Operation snow' which provides clothing, food and shelter for people across the city who are on low income, homeless or have drug and alcohol issues.
3, 'Not just for Christmas' which is a project providing company and conversation to people on Christmas Day. Each year Arterne CIC provide 500 meals across the city on Christmas day and invite people to spend the day with them at Hamoaze house.
