Story

Our challenge is in memory of Heidi, who recently lost her battle to anorexia and depression in 2017, she is much loved and is greatly missed by her family and friends. Sadly, we can't bring Heidi back, but what we can do is help Central Notts Mind support others who are struggling as she did, and hopefully help prevent any other family losing a loved one.

So, please help us to help Central Notts Mind, by taking part in our challenge. Complete 30 miles in 30 days and take a step towards improving your own wellbeing. Whether you walk it, jog it or run it the miles all count in this virtual challenge.

The aim is to get people more active and to help raise much needed funds for Central Notts Mind, whilst also helping to fight mental health stigmas and raise awareness.

We hope this challenge will promote you to become more active but also encourage and strengthen your social connections. Research has found strong evidence which suggest social relations are critical for promoting wellbeing and can help fight the triggers of mental health. So, use this challenge as a way to connect with others, you can walk with friends or family, run with a team, or make new connections by joining our Facebook Group.

Just get out there, get active and reach out to others.
