Story

Miles is going to do his first ever Triathlon on Saturday 22nd September. He has to swim 100m in open water at Hever Castle, cycle 4km and then run 1.3km. He wants to raise money for Nova Children's Project.

Miles was upset when he realised that children with disabilities don't have access to the same range of holiday clubs and after school activities as he does. They often end up driving their siblings around to fun activities and don't get to do anything themselves.

Nova provides weekend and holiday play-schemes for 8-19 year olds with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or complex medical needs. They are based in Southborough and currently support more than 50 families in West Kent. They believe no child should miss out on accessing activities and experiences due to their disability. The children have fun, socialise and develop their independence in a safe and friendly environment, whilst their parents get a much-needed break to re-charge their batteries.

Nova is a non-profit organisation, funded solely through grants, donations and fundraising. Miles is hoping to raise £750 to help support their work.
