At Milford-On-Sea Primary School, we have recently changed our Early Reading Program to ‘Little Wandle’. This is a great new program for phonics and Early Reading that not only includes whole class teaching but catch-up intervention for children that fall behind. This includes struggling readers that are in KS2 as well.

In order to teach this, we need to ensure that we have enough decodable reading books for children at all different phonic levels, so that they can have class readers and books for small group catch up. Having enough decodable books for children is so important for their reading development.

Unfortunately, these books don’t come cheap and we don’t have a huge amount of budget for it. Ideally, we need 12 sets of books to cover all the classes and some extra so children can have them as home readers.

Please help this cause if you can.
