I’m Steve Davies. AKA the Military Grave Restorer, I’m passionate that we show we care and honour our heroes and their legacies. With donations and support from like-minded people like yourself, I’ve restored over 800 graves of forgotten heroes all over the UK.

NEGLECTED GRAVES NOT TENDED BY ANYONE…

Grave renovations can cost > £500 for basic materials and equipment. I doggedly search through the undergrowth for broken pieces of gravestones and monuments, then work to professional memorial mason BRAMM standards to make careful repairs, reassemble gravestones, reset dangerous and unstable ones liable to collapse and spend hours, sometimes days(!) meticulously hand-cleaning a grave.

MAINTAINING A GRAVE

With your JustGiving support, after graves been restored and cleaned, I can also revisit and maintain graves on a regular basis, so our heroes continue to lie at rest in an honourable state.

The VC is the highest medal decoration to be awarded, but even some of their graves are also the most tragically neglected.

With your support, this NEW JustGiving appeal will include restoring Victoria Cross graves. £10,000 aim is to restore as many as possible and, as before, your donation will support the essential costs of restoration costs, equipment and materials.
