Story
My step dad went to the doctors about a month ago as he was feeling run down, he had a blood test and was immediately admitted to hospital to start chemotherapy for liver and lung cancer. The family were told that with chemo he could have 5-6 months left. Yesterday he was told that unfortunately the chemo isnt working as well as hoped and that he is now looking at only having 4 weeks left. all he is doing is worrying about everyone and everything that he is going to leave behind...the house, the furniture, the attic, every insignificant thing he is worried about. We all know funerals are costly and as a now 2 family unit (he and my mum are seperated) we are going to struggle to fund a funeral, one that ahould be the best... we cant fund a bucket list to tick off as the only time he will ever go outside again is when he is moved to a hospice very soon..
what i want, NEED, to do is take some strain pff of him and the rest of the family, if we could raise enough to cover the funeral it would be amazing for him. I am also going to fundraise in other ways but thought id give this a try. Even if you can only afford £1 it can make a dofference.
thank you for taking the time to read this xx
