Story

So as most people already know millie was diagnosed at 6 weeks old with a moderate to sever sensori neural hearing loss, and as a result she wears two hearing aids everyday.

To make things a bit easier for Millie, Millies mum, family and friends have decided to raise some money to buy Millie a Roger Pen.

The Roger pen itself goes around the talkers neck acting like a microphone, it picks up all the sounds and words and wirelessly transmits the voice via miniature transmitters into the hearing aids. This blocks out all back ground noise and it means that Millie is getting more of an understanding of words and sounds meaning that she will be able to communicate better and will help to build her confidence for starting school. The pen will also help devolp her understanding to the same level as kids of her age. Not only does it have all of these positive aspects it will also ensure her safety when out playing and travelling by foot as the pen allows Millie to hear from as far as 10m.

The pen its self comes to £899.99 in which other friends and family members are coming together to try and raise through fundraising events, charity nights, sponsored events etc. I’m hoping that £300 would set them off to a good start.

Thank you x
