Story

3 Teachers from Mill Rythe Infant School are taking on the mammoth task of abseiling the Spinnaker Tower on 26th May 2018 at 9.30am. This is in aid of the Outdoor Learning Centre and Sensory Garden. Teachers abseiling will be: Mrs Ford (Head Teacher), Mrs. Thewlis and Mrs. Clarke. You are bonkers for signing up for this, but it just shows your dedication to your school!

The PTFA of Mill Rythe Infant School, together with the help of teachers, friends and family of the school are trying to raise enough money to build an Outdoor Learning Centre and Sensory Garden. This will be a place that Children at the school can learn about nature, birds, mini-beasts, growing plants etc. It will be an exciting educational area for the children but also will provide a "safe haven" to children who require some quiet time, or a place to escape. As the PTFA we have pledged to support the creative side of the curriculum and this is just the perfect project for all of us as parents, carers and friends of the school to raise enough money to see our children enjoy learning about the outdoors! This abseil is part of a larger fundraising strategy where we hope to raise enough money to build a sustainable building which will last for many years to come. This will not only benefit children currently at the school, but future children of the school also.
